What does "free from HEMA" mean?
HEMA is a reactive acrylate and common trigger for skin reactions — the entire system is HEMA-free.
The plantPRO System was HEMA- and HPMA-free. GelCare is only HEMA-free. Why?
GelCare is completely HEMA-free; only the Top Coat contains HPMA, approved and safely formulated under EU regulation.
How much of GelCare is natural origin?
Natural origin content (NOC per ISO 16128) varies by product, between 21% and 100%.
How do I apply the GelCare System?

Do I have to use the primer?
Optional: with Primer your manicure lasts longer, without it you get a more minimal routine.
How should I prepare my nails?
Push back cuticles, lightly buff with the 240-grit side of the buffer, then clean with the Prep & Finish Cleanser.
Why does my colour still look uneven after the first coat?
Completely normal: full opacity only shows after the second colour coat.
Which LED lamp do I need, and can I use one I already own?
Only the included lamp (24 lights, up to 48W) is guaranteed to deliver the stated cure, hold and durability.
Can I apply the system outdoors in direct sunlight?
Not recommended: strong sunlight can cause the colour to cure prematurely.
How do I remove GelCare?
Roughen, apply a Gel Remover-soaked pad with a clip, wait about 15 minutes, then gently loosen the gel.
Why don't you use acetone?
Acetone strips and dries out skin and nails — our Gel Remover is acetone-free and contains jojoba oil instead.
How do I care for my nails after removal?
Regular care with our Nourishing Nail Oil and/or Restoring Nail Serum, especially right after removal.
Do I need to take a break between manicures?
Not as a rule — a break with intensive care can help if your nails feel thin or weakened.
How long does my GelCare manicure last?
Target wear time with correct, complete use of the full system: 15+ days with lasting shine.
My manicure didn't last 15 days, what did I do wrong?
Not necessarily a mistake: wear time depends on nail condition, preparation and thin, precisely sealed coats.
Is GelCare suitable for sensitive nails?
HEMA-free and formulated to reduce sensitization risk — test on a single nail first if you have known intolerances.
I react to classic gel polish, can I use GelCare?
If you have a known allergy to gel polish: have a dermatologist review it before use, rather than self-testing.
Why do some products say "For professional use only"?
Because of the ingredient p-hydroxyanisole, which the EU Cosmetics Regulation requires this label for.
Can I combine GelCare with my plantPRO products?
Not every combination is recommended — for reliable results, use one complete system at a time.
How do I store the GelCare products?
Store upright, cool, dry and away from direct sunlight; close promptly after use.
How do I dispose of the GelCare products?
Empty bottles, lids and brushes go in household waste; opened products go to a hazardous waste collection point.
