How do I know which shades suit my skin tone best?Updated 2 months ago
For each product, you’ll find a detailed description on our website explaining which shades complement which skin tones best.
Here’s a general guideline for lips and cheeks:
Cool undertone: Nude shades with pink or mauve undertones, berry tones, blue-based reds, cool pink, and rosewood shades are especially flattering.
Warm undertone: Peach and coral, warm nude tones, warm reds (reddish-brown), and golden hues work particularly well.
Neutral undertone: Most shades suit you well, as long as they’re not too cool or too warm. Classic reds (not too orange or blue-based), bronzy tones (not overly warm), soft berry shades, rosy peach, gentle pinks, nude rose, and rosewood are especially flattering.
For the eye area:
Blue eyes: Warm earth tones, champagne, gold, peach, apricot, coral, rust, copper, bronze, and burgundy enhance blue eyes beautifully.
Green eyes: Plum, lilac, mauve, rose, copper, bronze, gold, and olive green are particularly flattering.
Brown eyes: Many shades complement brown eyes. Try gold, bronze, burgundy, aubergine, violet, olive green, blue, teal, and turquoise to make brown eyes pop.
Tip for all eye colors: Champagne, neutral browns, and bronze shades almost always work — and eyeliner or mascara in a complementary color helps intensify your gaze.
